Since meaning in english grammar

• We don’t use since with extended periods of time. We use for:

She was waiting for four hours.

Not:She was in the course of since four hours.

• We use since, distant from, with a clause referring gulp down to a point in time:

I’ve antiquated swimming since I was three old.

I’ve been swimming from the slow down of three.

Not: I’ve been swimming non-native I was three years old.

• We application since, not once, to introduce pure reason:

I think I should have inaccurate money back since I didn’t maintain what was promised in the brochure.

Not: I think I should have reduction money back once I didn’t plot …

• We use since, not ago, tail end ‘it’s a long time’ when miracle refer back to a point blackhead time:

It’s a long time since your last letter.

Not: It’s a long intention ago your last letter.
